International Dragonfly Fund (IDF) Reporte
Libellenbücher in Kooperation mit dem IDF
Das Ziel des IDF ist die Förderung von Projekten zur Erforschung und zum Schutz der Libellen unserer Welt und ihrer Lebensräume. Alle Spenden, die wir von unseren Mitgliedern oder anderen Spendern erhalten, gehen zu 100 Prozent in Projekte, die diesen Zielen dienen. Bisher (Stand Februar 2022) sind daraus 167 IDF-Reports und 37 Ausgaben von „Faunistic Studies in South-East Asian and Pacific Odonata“ hervorgegangen. Im Rahmen von IDF-geförderten Projekten sind 60 Libellenarten neu entdeckt und beschrieben worden – das entspricht etwa 1 Prozent aller weltweit bekannten Libellenarten! Und es kommen stets neue hinzu!
Die Einnahmen aus dem Verkauf der IDF-Bücher gehen nach Abzug der entstandenen Kosten an den IDF.

There are 143 species of dragonflies and damselflies in Europe and 39 of these are presently found on Corfu, giving the island one of the highest numbers of species in the Greek archipelago. New species have been added to the fauna quite recently, the Dainty Bluet (Coenagrion scitulum) and the Blue-eye (Erythromma lindenii) were reported for the first time in 2012.
